Takashi Asahina vinyl discography
Takashi Asahina was one of Japan's most prominent conductors. With the exception of a European tour with the Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra in October 1975, all of his recordings were captured during live performances in Japan. That European tour included concerts in Montreux, Berlin, and a performance of Bruckner's Seventh Symphony at St. Florian Abbey in Linz. Asahina is widely recognized for his interpretations of Bruckner, whose symphonies he recorded multiple times. Aside from his first complete cycle of Bruckner symphonies recorded in the 1970s with Jean Jean Records, his performances were recorded and released on vinyl by the Victor Company of Japan (JVC) and King Records.
