King record Super Analogue serie KIJC

The King Records Super Analogue Disc (KIJC) series can be divided into distinct chronological phases based on where the vinyl was pressed. The series debuted between 1990 and 1991 with catalog numbers KIJC 9001 through 9012, which were pressed in Japan. Production then shifted to Switzerland for numbers 9013 to 9025 during 1991 and 1992; these specific releases are easily identifiable by the Swiss flag featured on the Obi strip. In 1992, manufacturing temporarily returned to Japan for the KIJC 9100 to 9112 run. However, starting with number 9113 in 1993, production moved to the USA at the RTI (Record Technology Incorporated) plant. This American pressing period lasted until 2001, concluding the series with number KIJC 9244. Regardless of where the vinyl was pressed, the lacquer cutting was consistently performed in Japan, presumably using copy master tapes. Additionally, the KIJC series frequently reissued titles that had already been published in earlier King Records series..

Those three titles actually belong to the DAM series, an audiophile initiative created by Toshiba EMI for the Daiichi-Kateidenki Audio Member's Club. The physical records were actually pressed by King Record when the original master tapes belonged to King Record's own catalog.
