Franco Corelli vinyl discography

Verdi Il trovatore box signed by Franco Corelli

Franco Corelli’s initial recordings were made for Fonit Cetra; these were not complete operas, but rather recitals featuring famous arias. Following his official contract with EMI UK in 1960, his first complete operas—Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci and Bellini’s Norma—were recorded. His recording career continued primarily with EMI, with the exception of a couple of operas and a recital recorded for Decca. In Japan, Nippon Columbia released only Norma, using metal parts supplied by EMI UK; after their contract ended, Toshiba took over, cutting its own lacquers from master tapes sent from the UK.
